Heat Pump Engineer.

The opportunity

Birchwell Associates is supporting a growing low-carbon heating business in the search for a Heat Pump Engineer. The role will involve installing, commissioning and maintaining air-source heat-pump systems across domestic and light-commercial projects.

This position will suit an experienced heating engineer who wants to develop further within the renewable-energy sector and deliver high-quality low-carbon heating solutions.

What you will be doing

• Install and commission air-source heat-pump systems.
• Complete associated pipework, cylinders, controls and system components.
• Carry out maintenance, fault finding and remedial work.
• Complete flushing, testing, balancing and system handover activities.
• Work from technical designs and maintain accurate installation documentation.
• Maintain strong standards of safety, workmanship and customer communication.

What we are looking for

• Relevant plumbing or heating qualification and strong practical experience.
• Experience installing and maintaining domestic heating systems.
• Previous air-source heat-pump experience is strongly preferred.
• G3 unvented hot-water qualification is desirable.
• Knowledge of heating controls, commissioning and fault diagnosis.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North West.
