The opportunity
Birchwell Associates is supporting a growing clean-energy business in the search for a Renewable Operations Manager. This role will take ownership of field performance, project delivery, technical standards and operational improvement across multiple renewable technologies.
You will lead managers, engineers and subcontractors while working closely with commercial, project and senior leadership teams to build a safe, efficient and scalable operation.
What you will be doing
- Lead field operations across solar, battery, EV and wider renewable projects.
- Manage operational performance, capacity planning, scheduling and delivery standards.
- Develop managers, engineers, subcontractors and technical teams.
- Improve health and safety, quality, compliance and customer-service performance.
- Track operational KPIs, project risks, margins and continuous-improvement priorities.
- Work with senior leaders to shape growth plans, systems, recruitment and supplier strategy.
What we are looking for
- Strong experience leading field operations within renewables, electrical contracting, construction or engineering.
- Experience managing managers, engineers, subcontractors and multi-site delivery.
- Good knowledge of project delivery, health and safety, quality and technical compliance.
- Commercial awareness, including budgets, margins, productivity and resource planning.
- A track record of improving operational systems, standards and performance.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
What is on offer
- Salary between £55,000 and £70,000, depending on experience.
