Azure Cloud Engineer.

The opportunity

Birchwell Associates is supporting a growing organisation in the search for an Azure Cloud Engineer. This role will suit an engineer with strong Microsoft Azure experience who enjoys combining cloud design, implementation and ongoing platform improvement.

You will contribute to Azure architecture, cloud migration, automation, security and operational support while working closely with infrastructure, security and application teams.

What you will be doing

• Design, deploy and support secure Azure infrastructure and platform services.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Bicep or comparable tooling.
• Support cloud migration, modernisation and landing-zone improvement programmes.
• Manage Azure networking, identity, monitoring, backup and operational resilience.
• Improve governance, security controls, cost visibility and cloud standards.
• Produce documentation and work with technical teams, suppliers and project stakeholders.

What we are looking for

• Strong commercial experience supporting Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Good knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking and identity services.
• Experience with Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and cloud security controls.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep or another infrastructure-as-code platform.
• PowerShell, Azure CLI or comparable scripting and automation skills.
• A structured approach to troubleshooting, documentation and technical delivery.

What is on offer

• Salary between £55,000 and £70,000, depending on experience.
